Freebie trading sites are the latest rage online because they don't cost that much to get involved with and they promise that you can make money without spending your life savings to do so. The question that needs to be asked though is: are they viable?
If you don't know what freebie trading sites are, here's a short explanation for you in a nutshell. These sites allow you to try out products from other companies on a trial basis, then they pay you for trying them out. The free part comes into play because most major companies have "free trials" that they use as an incentive to get customers. Once you try out the product, you are then paid a set amount for trying out a certain numbers of products from different companies. You also get paid a "finder's fee" when you get other people to do the same thing that you're doing and join the freebie site.
One of the major issues with this type of business model is that most people trying out these free trials are doing so because they want to make money. They don't have a ton of money to burn to actually become a customer of these businesses. In essence, most people just try out the free trial products and end up canceling before they are billed anything.
A majority of the promoters of these types of companies make most of their money when they get other people to join and try out the free trials. When you combine the above two issues, you can see why the could be a problem for both the companies giving out the free trials, and the customer trying to make money from them.
I think this is a really interesting concept that is often taken to far because money is being made from different angles but the business model isn't sustainable because people are just taking advantage of the system.
For most people, the best way to earn an additional income using the internet is by learning an internet trade such as article writing, editing, transcription, or support and providing your services to the thousands of businesses out there that need it.
When you see the word free online, you may want to look a little harder because you'll often find out that what's being called free really isn't. If you like the concept behind these sites, you can always work through an affiliate network and get paid when you get others to actually purchase real products from these types of companies.
Again, this is an interesting concept, but most people will fall on their face trying to get it to work because they are looking for a job, and these type of trading sites are far from it.
